Little Performers

So we finally got tv and internet the other week. We have watched a total of 2 things on the tv in 2 weeks. Needless to say, I think we are going to cancel service. No point in paying that kind of money for something we could watch on line--The Office and CNN. Well the other day the kids wanted to play their "band". I saw we had music channels and put on the country one..the kids thought they were hot stuff jamming to the music. Pretty funny video--Natalie was really getting into it.

New Do

I LOVE cutting hair. I am the hairdresser for the family--with all my training and all... My favorite part is when Dan gets mad at me for doing a bad job and asks "Why don't you have a plan...you just do what you want...". Yup, that is what happens when you have no training in the area...unless barbie and baby dolls count. I was really good at chopping their hair. Everett actually sat for his--first time. Natalie's is still a work in progress--I am daily finding places where I need to snip.

Flowers

Ok, so when we are counseled to have a budget...I doubt people think one would have a Flower category...we do. So when Aldi's is selling bunches for $2, how can you NOT get fresh flowers in your home.

You'd Think We are Still in Winslow...

The wheels were sunk in mud. Both of us had to hoist it out.
Beginnings of the skid mark track...
End of ride along patio and indentation in mud on the other side.
Afterward we determined that back up against house would be safest place.
So, I had to chuckle a few months ago when a friend back in Winslow, documented on her blog, about what the winds of Winslow did to her patio furniture--shattered glass, the whole nine yards. Well, that was before we moved into our new home--little winslow. The winds here get VERY strong (coming over the fields and all). Sometimes the house shakes so much I feel we are living in a train yard--the other night I actually thought it was thundering--nope, just the wind. Anyway, so the other night we were to have friends over for dinner and it was during one of the "wind advisory days" yea, well, we first dug our grill out of the mud (our yard for the time being) and set it on a our little concrete pad. Dan put the "brakes" on it and went inside for a minute. Something compelled me to just sit and watch the wind shake the poor grill. And then...that grill (monster grill) went flying across the patio and top down into the mud.EVERYTHING came out of the grill and landed in the mud. Needless to say we did not grill out that night. But our oven baked chicken turned out just fine. The grill parts are still sitting in the utility sink--waiting to be cleaned...isn't everything.

So we left winslow and found winslow in PA.

Baby Blessing

What a BLESSING to be present for a baby blessing...only our second one in most recent years. Baby Kori was blessed and we were able to enjoy more time with family. Pics are FUNNY!

Someone is trying new things...

No PIC--we could not do it (although we did take some)

Preface: this material may seem crude to some.

So our Everett is aok with his bodily functions. He LOVES passing gas and burping--possibly due to the responses he gets from family members. Well to sit him on the pot (pre-potty training here) he does what all good boys do--pushes, which makes him pass wind and laugh. He is a hoot and knows it. He certainly inherited the funny gene.

Snow Days!

Considering snow day memories are some of the only memories I have of childhood, I always hope the kids have plenty of them. We have been blessed recently to see some snowy days...none of the blizzard type I knew growing up, but snow nonetheless. The kids love it and we thoroughly enjoy looking over "our" fields of snow.
And some chinese dumpling pics too--kids still in pjs at dinnertime...
