In Philly, we shared a small steak sandwich knowing we'd be heading to Villa De Roma later.
Independence Hall
Something firefighters do (her hubby is one)-- they collect shirts from other houses.
Betsy Ross House
Oldest residential street in America.

Ephrata Cloister--Being humble
Jolly Green Brett (so it seems with such small doors)
My favorite thing...how captivated the kids were by Brett's story telling every night.
Of course she had to go to Hershey for her kids. Everett didn't mind...he never does.
Brett blessed our home for a week when she came to stay with us. Dan was a saint, as usual, and watched the kids for 2 whole days so we could have some much needed girl time. I love her, everything about her. She is a light in my life. One of the BIGGEST blessings of my mission. It was a dream spending time with her. Dan loved her...the kids loved her... (Brett, I hope some of these pics were the ones that did not go through on the email--if not let me know).
Note: the bump thing on Everett's head. True story. He was in the "Family Store", aka Salvation Army, with Dan. He got the bright idea to stick his head up the bottom of an upper-torso-ed-manequin. Dan had to pull/squeeze him back out/down. Of course in his excitement to relay all the details when asked how he got such a whopper he'd say things like "family store...yellow shirt...head stuck...Daddy pulled". I was, as always, the interpreter for all who dare ask for details. Funny kid!
