We have this place here in town, only open during the winter. It is an indoor playground. Someone converted an old barn--using it as an accountant's office and upstairs, a play place. The kids love it. Parents sit and chat and kids are amused for hours. Dan and I thought we should do the same thing in our basement--ball pit, sliding board, play equipment, puppet theatre, giant train, post office, ice cream shop (play of course), costume area, train table....etcetc...
