Boy! Yep we are having another boy! Natalie was great and sat through the 1 hour and 15 minute ultrasound. She was quite anxious to hear it was a girl though. When we saw the "turtle" we had to break it to her gently that it was a boy. She had a mini-breakdown. She was quite sad, especially since she was hoping to sleep on the top bunk of the bunk bed. Bless her heart--the things that are important to little ones.
Anyway, the quest begins to agree on a name. We had such a hard time with Everett, I am sure this will not be any different.
Sorry no pics--our scanner is not working. We did get two printed pics, and one printed 3D pic. The kid looks just like Everett with those gigantic cheeks. Too cute. And he was laying there with his arm covering his one eye. We even saw him open his eyes during the 3D part.

Washington DC Temple trip
We were able to go to the DC Temple as a family for the first time. It was nice swapping out with my brother and his wife. It was such a HOT and HUMID day (I guess it is mid August and a day like that can make its appearance once or twice). We had a wonderful time.
Lakefront Property 2
Ok, so honestly buying and building on this lot was initially scary. As mentioned before when we moved in, we had had a big rainstorm (typical of this summer) and the lake was nice and high...no more that 1 foot but seems much higher. Anyway, we have so gotton over the fear of water near our home. We LOVE the lake when it is there. There is a family of ducks that comes when the basin has water in it. Here are some pics of the "lake". Remember this is not deep at all but it certainly appears to be.
PS. For you "Winslow" the dog fans...about two weeks ago he was sprayed by a skunk--11pm on a Saturday night. Boy is that some experience--especially considering Dan did not realize what had happened when he let him out and let him IN the HOUSE. I had an instant, almost chemical burn type reaction--tip of tongue numb, eyes water and nose sting. It was awful and pretty much saturated the house for days. We can still smell it on him when he gets wet--although we washed him 4 times that night. YIKES!
Who needs a truck?
So after some searching we found a patio set, MADE IN AMERICA, Birmingham, AL actually. We toyed with getting a truck to haul it...NO NEED. We have two perfectly capable cars. Looking pretty Beverly Hillbilly-ish we made the 1.5mile trek from the store home with one table and six chairs. The kids want to sit out on the patio now for most meals.
Family Reunion 2009
The Shurr side of the family. The kids LOVED playing in the mud with their cousins. Fun day! After the reunion we went to visit Uncle Ronald, Aunt Nancy and Cousin Kaaren.

So here we are again a year later. It is one hot day. It was fun spending time with Zac and his family.
