So Everett, when acting up, will often send himself to time out. Thanks, save me a step. He also likes to put himself down for a nap too. I was nursing Elliott (of course, what else might we be doing) and Everett went to his room, shut the door and I found him like this...which led to a photo shoot.

He is 5 months now!
So I finally did a "photo shoot" of the little man. Boy is he CUTE! He has changed a lot these past 4 weeks. He is MUCH happier and can remain content for longer than 5 minutes. Everyone notices how much better (not so much fussing/screaming...) he is now. Here is a random sampling of some of the pics I took of him--I kept the cutest ones off this site, considering the lack of clothing, you get it.
Solids for Sweet Boy, Not YET!
So doc suggested introducing Sweet Boy to cereal now. I never did before 6 months and am only somewhat doing so now. He really did not care for them, so we will try again in a week or so. These are pics from the first time. You'd think with his need for food he'd appreciate something a little more substantial these days, but as Grammy would say, He sure likes his @%#$& milk.
Father and Son Campout
Dan has been looking forward to this for years! He and Everett had a WONDERFUL time!!! (Although Dan said he had NEVER seen so much junk food in one place--thankfully he took along the healthy stuff). Everett LOVED playing with his friends, an 8 year old, and 3 teen-age boys.
On a graphic note: After seeing what dwells beneath the latrine that night, Everett decided to "hold it" until he got home. He did, the moment he walked into the front door--poop time. And as far as pee is concerned, he unloaded the next morning for well over 30 seconds, Dan informed. That's our boy!
Natalie gets a scholarship
So we are sending her to a science camp this summer. I found out about a foundation that gives monies to kids based on academic achievement. Natalie filled out the application herself and was awarded nearly the full cost of the week long camp. We were thrilled. This is what they said about her during the awards ceremony(based on her answers and essays in the application): "Natalie, a first grader at ..., says that she loves nature, likes to ask questions about the world, loves to read chapter books and just loves learning. She thinks she would like to be an Irish dancer and mother when she grows up. She believes that going to ... will help her learn to take care of the earth and teach her children to love the world". The audience let out an audible sigh/aww when she said the part about being a "mother". Made me so happy. I am glad she thinks motherhood is a desirable thing. Picture of her after the ceremony with her best friend Amelie (and her younger sister).
