So our animal loving kids got to see and learn about oodles of animals and reptiles. Natalie and Everett were thrilled to go on rides too. Natalie had a ball holding a python!

Oregon Dairy Days
So my friend Nicole and I took our kids to Oregon Dairy Days...tractor ride through farm/milking area. There were some very fun things for the kids to do--hay bale maze, baby animals (they loved the chicks and held them a greater part of the time), watching chicks hatch, playing in corn (like a sand box but with corn), climbing on tractors, learning about cows, etc. And best of all FREE chocolate milk and ice cream! Who could ask for more?
Again, here are plenty of pics.

Lake Tobias
So two or so weeks ago we went north of Harrisburg to Lake Tobias--visit online. The kids loved it almost as much as we did. Cheap, educational, and highly entertaining, not to mention the area was BEAUTIFUL! Basically the place affords a zoo, petting zoo, exhibits, and best of all a safari. One of the neatest things we have done!
Enjoy the pics.
The Producers!
We are so happy to be living amongst the producers of our country. There is something quite refreshing to see self-sustaining, salt-of-the-earth people all around you. We love this area, filled with religious, hard-working, producers. We really love Lebanon County.
So tonight we went to a local farm to join in on their pick-your-own strawberries at $1 a pound. Nice to have fresh, local, organic fruit for $1 a pound! Anyway, the kids had a ball. Everett filled his tummy and Natalie was very deliberate in the filling of her container. As thunder rolled in the distance we had a wonderful time picking and eating berries. We cannot wait to have our own plot of land and garden again. We have all been in withdrawal--especially as food prices have gone through the roof. Anyway, here are too many pics for berry picking, but we had fun.
