Birthday Night

Since we vacationed for the past several weeks we did not have a ton of time to plan for a b-day party. We decided to invite a few of Nat's friends over (and their families--our friends) for a "Make your Own Sundae" Party. Kaylan and the girls were able to make the drive up here too. We had the back yard filled with outdoor games, Laddertoss, Croquet, Badminton, water sprinkler, tent filled with dress up clothes, sidewalk chalk to decorate the concrete patio, car for "hill roller coaster" and a few other things. It was so not organized but everyone expressed how much fun they had (thankfully it was not boring). It was a nice evening. Our house is filled with bugs but Natalie is filled with memories. We are grateful for our friends and family here. 95% of the following pics were taken by Natalie herself. It makes the pics all that more fun. She has a tendency to snap pics of random body parts--I told her how important it was to get people's faces--she did a pretty good job. Enjoy her "artwork".

Birthday Morning.

Grammy came right on time, although we were snuggling still in bed. We made Nat her choice of b-fast--whole wheat pancakes and fruit. Grammy brought her some nice gifts, 4 pair of shoes and 2 great games. Natalie LOVED the pink UGG slippers best. Thanks Mom. We then braved the hot day at the fair. It actually was a nice morning checking out all the animals.

Lebanon County Rodeo

So we are rodeo junkies although there is nothing here to compare to those out west. However, we get what we can get. This week is our county fair. We wait all year for this. The kids have a ball and we enjoy seeing what Lebanon countians have to offer. Maybe next year we will enter...something...into the fair.

One great site!
We were so glad to visit with family and friends all during the 2 week vacation. After leaving KY we went to Alabama to visit with the Seidels, Beesons, Amanda S and Dennis and Rachel. We had a great time. After AL we went to NC to visit with the Coates. What a wonderful end to a wonderful trip. Thanks to everyone.
Side note: Natalie and Everett were SO ready to come home. Only a few days into the vacation Natalie kept saying she wanted to go home to PA. Then the night we arrived at the Seidel's home, Everett screamed saying he wanted to "go home, not this house". They made it and we all (except Dan) have been sleeping in until 9am since, trying to recoup.

Nashville Zoo

What a great zoo! The bulk of the park is shaded--what a relief. We spent the day with Dan's sister Sherry and her two boys. It was great for the kids to play together and we enjoyed the perfect weather.
